Motovlogging in Nepal | Scope & Earning | How to Start ?? Total vlogging Setup Cost | Beginners Guide

Hello ,Everyone Today we will be taking about Motovlogging in Nepal. I am also a Youtuber and a  motovloggers [ Youtube channel : AKR ] with 47K plus Subscribers so i think I can help out new ones who are willing to start a motovlogging channel.

HISTORY & INTRODUCTION :

Motovlogging generally means to vlog in a motorcycle or a scooter you can talk show anything you like there is no specific requirement or criteria. You can show your lifestyle, daily activities,travel,comedy,bike reviews and many more as you like.

Talking about history motovlogging is quite new to Nepali community it's been few years that's it been popular among the country specially within the young audience. All thanks to new content and Talented content creators. Previously in 2018/2019 there we only a few number of vloggers roughly below 40 [ only included monetised channels ] . But recently in year 2020/2021 motovloggers numbers have been increased drastically multiple times than before. Young teens are showing more interest and passion towards biking and motovlogging. It's good as Nepali viewers will be getting a variety of new contents whereas  for creators there will tough competition for Viewership . 

SCOPE & EARNING IN MOTOVLOGGING 

Talking about the scope there is a high scope of motovlogging in Nepal as our country is blessed with natural beauty and there are many unexplored hidden places which are yet to be explored and can be a good tourism aspects. Motovloggers can grow and earn promoting their places promoting tourism and nepali culture. Motorcycles are the basic & most important source of transport among Nepalese as roads are narrow vehicles tax are high and affording a four wheeler is too difficult so there is high demand and craze of motorcycle riding so New Bike reviews ,bike riding tips ,New Places visit videos can be popular among the audience.

There is high scope of motovlogging in the country but I can't say about Earning in it. Motovlogs are generally uploaded in youtube and Earning starts after the channel gets monetised and is accepted in Youtube partner Program.

Sadly the Youtube Earning is very low for Nepali Youtubers as the pay per view rate is very poor in comparison with other European ,US and Austrailian countries. Youtube earning rate depends upon the quality of ads that appear in the videos . In developed countries high quality of ads of big multinational companies or sites are shown whereas it's just opposite in developing countries.

 Not only in Nepal majority of under developed countries have low youtube income as only low budget ads are played in the video.

The difference in income is huge.

let's say an American Youtuber earns $1 us dollar for 1000 views 

Whereas a Nepali Youtuber gets $1 hardly for 7000/8000 views in average 

Note: It's just a Example. Youtube earning highly depends also  soon watch time ,viewers geography and many other factors.

Income from Youtube may be less but a well established youtuber with good amount of Subscribers and average viewers can earn much more from sponsorships, paid advertisements and affiliate marketing which makes the earning limitless.

Many Top ranking Nepali youtubers are making a good income from their Channel.

HOW TO START MOTOVLOGGING CHANNEL 

1.Motorcycle:

- To motovlog it's obivous you need a bike or a scooter . You can vlog with any motorcycle from low cc to high cc bikes or even an electric bike. But having a good and popular motorcycle as your ride can help you get more views on your channel. 

2.Gears 

- Second thing you need some gears to shoot your videos.You can shoot with variety of gears from low cost to high. Basic requirement for motovlogs is an action camera which will be mounted on your motorcycle or bike . Action cameras are also available from low to high range starting 5000 nepali rupees & goes up to 60/70 thousands. Most popular is action camera is Gopro hero series which is used by majority of nepali motovloggers. Alongside Gopro you will be needing good audio step up and some vlogging acessories [ like tripod ,vlogging case etc]

Cost of latest Gopro hero 9 series: Rs 60,000 NPR 

Cost of Mic adapter/ Media Mod: Rs 9000- Rs 13000 

Cost of Lavalier mic : Rs 1500

All together it will roughly cost you around 70-75 thousands for a high quality motovlogging setup.

Low Budget Setup 

Cost of Eken H9r : Rs 8000 

Cost of external mic: Rs 1500

All together a cheap low budget motovlog setup will cost you around 10-12 thousands NPR.

Except from Action camera you can also use DSLR's , Mirrorless cameras and drones which will improve your video quality .

3. Editing 

After you get a bike and a motovlogging setup you will need a good device and a editing software to edit your footages. Editing plays a key role in your videos . Well edited videos with good background music and texts , without unnecesary boring footages can help you get more viewers and help increase your channel reach. Editing helps you give a story to your videos. You will need to learn basic editing skills to run a motovlogging channel. 

You will also be needing a good device to do editing [ mobile phone , laptop ,pc ] depending upon your video quality and quantity. If you want to edit large high quality footage you need a high spec laptop or pc. A good quality smartphone can also do the job.

4.Good Speaking Skills and Topic 

- Being a vlogger you need to speak and interact with your audience. Your content must be entertaining yet enaging so you get good watch time and fan base. You need to Speak clear and sharp pleasing to the ears without hesistation or doubts. You must decide a topic to talk before you talk . Confidence doesn't come early it gets up more time . You need to practice several times before you start shooting . Anyhow one must make his/her viewers enaging for a longer duration of time in their videos.

To make sucessfull videos a vlogger must plan a video topic script irs characters and shoot in a systematic flow . You can't do good just by random talking in a vlog. 

Eg: let's say you are going to a destination i.e Pashupatinath Temple so before going you must know about the Temple its history significance any specialties and other stuffs that you will say to your viewers also you can show some routes to the temple which can help your viewers to go there also the video will be informative. Also one must add some natural moments like i.e.chilling chit chatting your friends doing funny things to make video entertaining.

CONCLUSION:

Follow all the above things and you are ready to be a motovlogger. Remember hardwork and consistency is the key in every aspect of life. You will need thousands of views and Fan followring over a night. You must have patience and focus on improving your content day by day. Motovlogging is fun and can be a good hobby that makes you creative and help create good memories. Even if you don't become a popular one you will make memories and improve your speaking & communicating skills which will be helpful in your future life. 

You can start with a low budget setup if you can't afford expensive ones you just need passion and hardwork . Gears can be upgraded later but your content shouls be good and should improve day by day.
